There are lots of things to see in Pendle and things to do in Pendle and the Forest of Bowland. We are superbly situated for the Yorkshire Dales and the Ribble Valley. We are just an hour from the Lake District, Lytham St Annes, and Blackpool and only 20 minutes from Haworth, made famous by the Bronte sisters. This makes us the perfect location for walking holidays in England. Nearer home we have the villages of Roughlee, Newchurch and Barley where the famous Pendle Witches lived and it is said that here at Malkin Tower, Old Mother Demdyke and her daughter Elizabeth Device lived with her children. At Malkin Tower we pride ourselves on being a child and toddler friendly holiday cottage. But for now we like to believe that it may have been here. |
