Environmental PolicyAt Malkin Tower we try to minimise our environmental impact while making sure your stay here with us is as enjoyable as possible. As part of this aim we have joined the Green Tourism Business scheme which provides accreditation and encouragement for tourism businesses to reduce the environmental impact of their activities and by encouraging sustainable practices ensures the continued enjoyment of the environment around us for future generations. In recognition of our commitment we have been awarded a Gold Award by the Green Tourism Business Scheme. Our commitment:
We welcome any suggestions/ideas you may have. You can purchase a tree and we will plant it here at Malkin Tower. We hope that guests will support us in an effort to conserve energy, by simply turning off unnecessary lights, inside and out, ensuring that electric heaters are not left on unnecessarily and not leaving appliances on standby. We have our own water system and we ask that guest use water considerately. We support Fairtrade and the aims of Euro Parc European Charter for sustainable tourism in protected areas and we are a member of Bowland Charter Assured and the Forest of Bowland Sustainable Tourism Business Network
